Job Summary
Rotana is seeking a passionate and results-driven Director of Revenue to maximize hotel revenue performance through effective revenue management strategies, room optimization, and proactive sales planning.
The successful candidate will develop and execute revenue strategies, analyze market opportunities, support budgeting processes, and work closely with Sales, Reservations, and Marketing teams to achieve business targets.
Key Responsibilities
Revenue Strategy & Optimization
- Develop and implement proactive selling strategies and action plans to maximize hotel profitability.
- Drive revenue optimization through effective room reservation strategies.
- Identify opportunities to increase revenue and implement action plans to capture market opportunities.
- Develop recovery strategies to address potential business risks and revenue challenges.
- Ensure revenue strategies align with Rotana standards and business objectives.
Sales & Revenue Management
- Oversee revenue generation activities through collaboration with:
- Reservations Sales Department
- MICE Sales Department
- Sales & Marketing teams
- Monitor business performance and recommend improvements.
- Support the Director of Sales & Marketing in preparing monthly revenue reports.
- Provide revenue insights to support commercial decision-making.
Budgeting & Reporting
- Prepare required revenue data for annual budgets.
- Assist the management team in developing yearly financial plans.
- Analyze revenue trends and market performance.
- Ensure accurate reporting and alignment with hotel financial goals.
Qualifications & Experience
The ideal candidate should have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or related field.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar Revenue Management role within a hotel environment.
- Previous experience in:
- Reservations Department
- Revenue Department
- Hotel commercial operations
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation abilities.
- Computer literacy.
- Previous experience with Opera Property Management System (PMS) is required.
