EarthLungs Hiring: Project Coordinator – Zanzibar

EarthLungs is seeking an experienced Project Coordinator to lead ecosystem restoration initiatives across Unguja and Pemba, Zanzibar. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with local communities, government institutions, and development partners to restore critical mangrove ecosystems while promoting sustainable livelihoods.

Key Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years’ experience in project management within the restoration, conservation, or environmental sector.
• Strong leadership, coordination, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience working with government agencies, local communities, and development partners.
• Good understanding of Zanzibar’s regulatory and conservation landscape.
• Fluency in both English and Swahili.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in:
  • Forestry
  • Environmental Science
  • Conservation
  • Natural Resource Management
  • Or a related field
• A Master’s degree and experience in mangrove restoration or community-based conservation will be an added advantage.
