About UDART
UDA Rapid Transit Plc (UDART) is a company incorporated in the United Republic of Tanzania under the Companies Act, Cap. 212 R.E. 2019 on 19 December 2014 (Certificate of Incorporation No. 113954). The company serves as the Interim Bus Operator for Phase I of the Dar es Salaam Bus Rapid Transit (DART) System.
UDART is inviting applications from qualified and competent Tanzanian citizens to fill the position of Senior Risk Officer II.
Qualifications
Applicants must possess:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma in:
- Risk Management
- Insurance
- Finance
- Accounting
- Economics
- Statistics
- Or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
- Minimum of seven (7) years of relevant experience in:
- Risk management
- Internal control
- Compliance
- Or a related field.
- Professional qualifications in Risk Management, Internal Audit, or Governance will be an added advantage.
Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Identifying, assessing, and monitoring operational, financial, strategic, compliance, and safety risks across the company’s operations.
- Developing and maintaining the company’s Risk Register and monitoring implementation of risk mitigation measures.
- Conducting periodic risk assessments covering:
- Bus operations
- Depots
- Terminals
- Ticketing systems
- Revenue collection
- Fleet management
- Supporting business functions
- Monitoring compliance with the company’s risk management framework, internal policies, and applicable laws and regulations.
- Preparing risk reports and presenting findings and recommendations to Management.
- Promoting risk awareness throughout the organization.
- Supporting implementation of business continuity and emergency response plans.
- Coordinating risk management activities with internal and external stakeholders.
- Monitoring implementation of agreed corrective actions.
- Performing any other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.
