Job Summary
The Sales Executive will support the Director of Sales (DOS) and Assistant Director of Sales (AsDOS) in executing the hotel’s sales strategy, managing customer accounts, driving new business, and achieving revenue targets. The role involves developing relationships with corporate clients, travel agencies, and business partners while promoting Meliá Hotels’ products and services.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Director of Sales and Assistant Director of Sales in preparing annual budgets and hotel business plans.
- Monitor sales performance and report progress against assigned sales targets.
- Implement sales action plans to achieve and exceed revenue and business objectives.
- Coordinate hotel participation in sales initiatives organized by Sales Offices and Sales Development teams.
- Prepare reports required for Business Reviews.
- Support weekly sales forecasts and account performance projections.
- Identify, develop, and manage local corporate accounts not assigned to Sales Office Account Managers.
- Promote Meliá Hotels and corporate programs such as MeliáPro Rewards and TravelLabs.
- Negotiate and finalize commercial agreements with corporate clients and travel agencies.
- Prepare and manage Business Travel (BT) Requests for Proposal (RFPs), agency contracts, MICE agreements, and related commercial documentation.
- Achieve new business acquisition targets.
- Manage small to medium-sized customer accounts.
- Serve as the primary contact for assigned accounts and resolve customer issues promptly.
- Maintain knowledge of Global Distribution System (GDS) sales channels and advise clients accordingly.
- Monitor competitors’ products, pricing, strengths, and market activities to strengthen sales strategies.
- Coordinate with Group Sales teams and Conference teams regarding meetings, conferences, and group bookings.
- Support cross-selling opportunities across other Meliá Hotels.
- Represent the hotel at sales events, exhibitions, networking activities, and promotional campaigns.
