Job Summary
ALAF Limited is seeking a Retail & Service Center Manager to oversee the overall operations of its Service Centre. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving direct and project sales, managing service centre operations, ensuring efficient stock management, and expanding value-added roofing solutions across Tanzania.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the Service Centre, including:
- Profiling activities
- Coil and finished goods inventory management
- Maintaining the facility in excellent operational condition
- Lead and supervise the direct sales team to achieve sales targets within assigned territories.
- Manage walk-in customer sales and deliver excellent customer service.
- Ensure customer orders are profiled and dispatched promptly in coordination with the Customer Service Department.
- Oversee project sales through the Technical Sales Representative.
- Coordinate and implement Marketing Communications (MARCOM) activities with the Marketing team.
- Grow the Roofing Solutions business by promoting integrated solutions, including:
- Roofing sheets
- Roofing accessories
- Truss systems
- Monitor and achieve targeted contribution margins per metric tonne (MT).
- Drive sales growth, operational efficiency, and profitability of the Service Centre.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in one of the following fields:
- Business Administration
- Marketing
- Sales
- Commerce
- Engineering
- Supply Chain Management
- Or a related discipline.
- An MBA or other relevant postgraduate qualification is an added advantage.
Experience Required
- 7–10 years of experience in:
- Sales
- Branch Operations
- Commercial Management
- At least 3 years in a managerial position.
- Proven experience managing:
- Retail outlets
- Service centres
- Branch operations
- Distribution networks
- Experience within one or more of the following industries:
- Manufacturing
- Building Materials
- Steel
- Construction
- FMCG
- Demonstrated expertise in:
- Direct Sales
- Project Sales
- Key Account Management
- Customer Relationship Management (CRM)
- Experience leading, coaching, and developing high-performing sales and operations teams.
- Proven ability to consistently achieve sales and profitability targets.
