Software Developer

JOB OVERVIEW

The Software Developer is a versatile technology professional responsible for contributing to the development, implementation, and improvement of software solutions. The role involves software development, business analysis, collaboration with stakeholders, quality assurance, and continuous improvement of development practices.

The Software Developer will work closely with technical and business teams to design, develop, test, and deliver effective software solutions that support organizational objectives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Software Development

Write efficient, scalable, and maintainable code while actively contributing to software development projects.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand, analyze, and implement project requirements.
Participate in code reviews to ensure software quality, consistency, and adherence to development standards.
Apply software development best practices throughout the development lifecycle.

2. Business Analysis

Engage with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document detailed business requirements.
Translate business needs into technical specifications, user stories, and requirement documentation.
Support effective communication between business stakeholders and technical teams.
Identify opportunities where technology solutions can improve business processes.

3. Collaboration and Communication

Work closely with:
- Product Managers
- Designers
- Software Developers
- Other relevant stakeholders
to ensure alignment with project objectives.
Act as a bridge between technical and non-technical stakeholders by explaining complex technical concepts clearly.
Participate in project discussions, planning sessions, and solution design activities.

4. Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement

Participate in software testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure applications meet business requirements.
Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities to validate that developed solutions meet user expectations.
Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and software development best practices.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to improving software development practices.
Promote continuous learning and adoption of modern development approaches.

Secure Coding Practices

Follow secure coding standards and guidelines to minimize software vulnerabilities.

Code Quality

Develop clean, efficient, reliable, and maintainable code.

Timely Delivery

Complete assigned development tasks and projects within agreed timelines.

Requirement Accuracy

Deliver software features that accurately meet business requirements with minimal rework.

Collaboration & Communication

Maintain effective teamwork and communication with technical and business stakeholders.

Continuous Improvement

Contribute to process improvements and adoption of new technologies.

Code Repository Management

Maintain organized, updated, and properly managed code repositories using version control systems.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

Education

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in:
- Computer Science
- Software Engineering
- Business Administration
- Information Technology
- Related fields

Technical Skills & Experience

Strong proficiency in one or more programming languages, such as:
- Java
- Python
- C#
- Other modern programming languages
Experience in software development and business analysis within a collaborative working environment.
Strong understanding of:
- Data structures
- Algorithms
- Software design principles
- Software development lifecycle
