Job Summary

KCB Bank Tanzania is seeking an IT Applications Developer to support the development, implementation, management, and continuous improvement of banking applications and technology solutions.

The role involves working closely with business units, managing application development projects, supporting banking operations, overseeing application development teams, and ensuring technology solutions align with business requirements and KCBT policies.

Key Responsibilities

Contribute to application development initiatives and the overall IT strategy.
Design appropriate architectures and solutions for banking products.
Manage project resources, schedules, costs, stakeholders, and the application development lifecycle.
Implement application development and IT change-management best practices.
Evaluate requests for new or modified applications.
Manage and distribute workloads among application developers.
Ensure compliance with application development policies.
Develop and manage Operational Level Agreements (OLAs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Support banking operations teams in resolving core banking system issues.
Work with business units to identify opportunities for technology-driven solutions.
Engage end-users to assess satisfaction and ensure successful project closure.
Transfer system-support knowledge and documentation to relevant teams.
Manage team performance and develop application development capabilities.
Identify innovative technology solutions that create business opportunities and reduce risks.

Qualifications

Required:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or another computer-related field.
Java certification
Oracle certification
Enterprise Architecture
ITIL certification/qualification

Added Advantage:

Master’s degree in a computer-related field or Project Management.

Experience Required

At least 5 years of total professional experience.
At least 2 years of experience developing digital lending and savings solutions.
