Riha Company Limited is a civil and building construction and general supply support company headquartered in Mwanza Region, Tanzania.

The company is currently involved in supplying high-quality river sand to Geita Gold Mine Limited in Geita Region.

Riha Company Limited is seeking experienced and qualified Light Truck Drivers to join its dynamic team and support its operations at the project site.

Position Summary

The successful candidates will be responsible for safely operating company light trucks to transport materials, mainly sand, from designated collection points to Geita Gold Mine Limited project sites.

Drivers must ensure compliance with traffic laws, company procedures, environmental requirements, and workplace safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate light trucks to transport sand and other related materials to assigned locations.
• Conduct vehicle inspections before and after trips and report mechanical problems.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness, documentation, and accurate trip logbooks.
• Follow company safety procedures, environmental guidelines, and operational requirements.
• Work closely with project supervisors, loading teams, and site coordinators.
• Report accidents, incidents, delays, or operational challenges promptly.
• Ensure safe and efficient delivery of materials.

Qualifications and Requirements

Applicants must have:

• A valid Tanzanian Class C or E driving licence in good standing, with at least two years remaining before expiry.
• A Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE/Form Four) with a minimum of four passes.
• A valid Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) Certificate.
• Police approval and verification letter.
• A VETA Driving Certificate.
• At least three years of practical experience operating light trucks, especially tipper trucks such as:
  • Howo
  • Shacman
  • FAW
  • Hongyan
• A clean driving record with no history of serious traffic violations or accidents.
• Good knowledge of road safety regulations and vehicle inspection procedures.
• Physical fitness to work in remote areas and undertake long-distance trips.
• Ability to communicate in Kiswahili. Basic English communication skills will be an added advantage.
