Accountant Job Vacancy at Harlos Containers, Dar es Salaam September 2026

Attention to detail: Accuracy is critical.

Integrity: Must handle company funds and sensitive financial data responsibly.

Analytical skills: Ability to track costs per container, sales, and projects, and calculate profit margins.

Communication: Good written and verbal English and Swahili.

Problem-solving: Ability to work under pressure and meet month-end deadlines.

Team player: Coordinate with Sales, Operations, clearing agents, Marketing, Administration, banks, and authorities.

Accounting: AP, AR, bank reconciliation, inventory, and general ledger.

Tax: Knowledge of VAT, PAYE, SDL, WHT, WCF, NSSF, service levy, and corporate tax.

Computer: Advanced MS Excel skills, Word, and PowerPoint.

Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or Business Administration.

CPA(T), CPA student, or qualified CPA is an added advantage.

Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in an accounting role.

Experience in a trading, logistics, import/export, or shipping company is highly preferred.

Hands-on experience with accounting software, including QuickBooks and ERP.
