AGROCHEMICAL SALES OFFICER (1 POST)

POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Agrochemical Sales Officer will be responsible for technical and commercial activities related to agricultural inputs, with a focus on pesticides and fertilizers. The role involves product promotion, market development, and providing technical support to clients in the agricultural sector.

Key responsibilities include:

Perform product analysis for agricultural pesticides, including insecticides, herbicides, fungicides, and synthetic fertilizers
Conduct scientific product needs assessments and market evaluations
Undertake quality control procedures and ensure compliance with industry standards
Promote, market, negotiate, and recommend new agrochemical products to expand market opportunities
Support sales and business development activities to achieve company sales targets
Participate in new product development and product improvement initiatives
Provide technical support and training to customers on crop protection products and their proper usage

QUALIFICATIONS

Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Crop Protection, Agronomy, Agricultural Sciences, Plant Protection, Crop Science, or a related field from a recognized institution
2–3 years of experience in the agrochemical or agricultural industry
Strong knowledge of crop protection products, pesticides, fertilizers, and agricultural regulations
Experience in agrochemical sales and marketing is an added advantage
Strong communication, negotiation, and customer relationship management skills
Computer literacy and ability to prepare technical and sales reports
