Background & Context
Ubongo is a leading edutainment organization producing high-quality educational content for children across Africa. As part of its strategic shift toward digital-first content, Ubongo is expanding into AI-assisted video production to rapidly remix, adapt, and scale existing content into new formats for digital channels.
This includes experimenting with AI tools to generate high-volume visual content, testing new creative directions, and optimizing formats for short-form platforms while maintaining alignment with Ubongo’s brand, child-safety, and educational standards.
Purpose of the Assignment
To produce AI-enhanced video content, including remixed music videos and character-based visual transformations.
Scope of Work
1. Video Production (Core Responsibility)
- Create AI-enhanced video content using existing Akili and Me assets
- Remix and adapt existing videos into new visual formats
- Ensure outputs are engaging, child-friendly, and visually compelling
2. Content Creation
AI Remix Videos
- Produce AI-enhanced remixes of existing Akili and Me music videos
- Adapt content for:
- Landscape (long-form platforms)
- Short-form (reels, shorts)
- Create reusable animation loops for ongoing content production
AI Character Transformations
- Create 4 distinct character-based video concepts
- Each concept explores transformations such as:
- Different professions
- Fashion styles
- Scenarios or locations
Deliverables per concept:
- 4 versions per concept
- Approximately 1 minute per video
- Focus on visual creativity and variation (no narrative required)
- Adapted for both landscape and short-form formats
3. Optimization & Delivery
- Ensure videos are optimized for short-form distribution
- Ensure cross-platform compatibility
- Deliver platform-ready final video files
- Maintain consistency in visual quality and formatting
4. Asset Development
- Produce reusable animation loops and visual elements
- Ensure assets are repurposable across multiple content pieces
- Organize and deliver source files for future use
5. Collaboration & Workflow
Work closely with:
- Digital Product Manager (direct supervisor)
- Director of Digital Products
- Creative Director
- Post Production Manager
- Senior Producer
Responsibilities include:
- Participating in feedback and iteration cycles
- Rapid implementation of revisions based on feedback
Key Deliverables
- AI-enhanced remixes of Akili and Me music videos
- 4 character transformation videos (1 minute each)
- Portrait and landscape versions of all outputs
- Reusable animation loops and visual assets
- Platform-ready final video files
- Organized project source files
Duration of Assignment
Start Date: 25 May 2026
End Date: 30 June 2026

Reports To: Digital Product Manager

Budget & Payment Terms
- Payment will be made on a deliverables-based arrangement
- Payment is subject to satisfactory completion and approval of outputs
- Applicants must submit financial proposals/estimates based on scope and deliverables
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Proven experience in video production, animation, or motion design
- Experience using AI tools for video generation or visual manipulation
- Strong visual storytelling and design skills
- Ability to produce child-friendly, engaging content
- Experience in fast-paced, iterative production environments
Technical Requirements
- Proficiency in tools such as After Effects, Premiere Pro, Blender, or similar
- Familiarity with AI video generation tools and workflows
- Understanding of short-form and long-form digital video formats
- Ability to deliver platform-ready video outputs

- Deliver high-quality outputs within tight deadlines
- Demonstrate creativity and variation across outputs
- Maintain alignment with brand and child-safety standards
- Respond effectively to feedback and iterations

- All deliverables remain the property of Ubongo
