Job Purpose
The Aviation Security Officer is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of airport operations, including passengers, staff, baggage, cargo, and airport facilities.
The role requires high vigilance, professionalism, and strict adherence to aviation security standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Passenger & Cargo Security Screening
- Conduct security screening of passengers
- Inspect baggage and cargo
- Ensure compliance with aviation safety regulations
2. Airport Surveillance & Patrol
- Monitor airport facilities continuously
- Detect and respond to security threats or breaches
- Maintain a secure airport environment
3. Incident Response & Coordination
- Respond to security incidents promptly
- Work with law enforcement agencies
- Support emergency response teams during incidents
4. Customer Service & Safety Balance
- Provide professional customer service
- Ensure safety without disrupting passenger flow
- Maintain calm and orderly airport operations
5. Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare detailed security incident reports
- Maintain accurate daily security logs
- Document all security-related activities
Requirements
Applicants must have:
- Certification in airport security management or safety
- Minimum 3 years of experience as an Aviation Security Officer
- Valid AVISEC license
- Strong observation and analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills (written & verbal)
- Ability to work in a team environment
