Role Overview
The Business Adviser will provide strategic and technical support to strengthen:
- Green entrepreneurship initiatives.
- Inclusive enterprise development.
- Blue economy sector interventions.
- Youth-led enterprises.
- Women-led businesses.
- Community-based economic development initiatives in project target areas.
The role aims to support sustainable business growth and economic empowerment among vulnerable and underserved groups.
Key Areas of Focus
The successful volunteer will contribute to:
- Strengthening entrepreneurship and business development initiatives.
- Supporting youth and women entrepreneurs.
- Promoting environmentally sustainable business practices.
- Enhancing enterprise development within the blue economy sector.
- Building capacity of local enterprises and start-ups.
- Supporting inclusive economic growth in project communities.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Applicants should possess:
- At least 3–5 years of experience in business development, entrepreneurship, enterprise support, or related projects/programs.
- Experience working in a similar advisory role.
- Experience supporting:
- Youth-led start-ups
- Small and medium enterprises (SMEs)
- Community-based businesses
- Strong mentoring, coaching, and capacity-building skills.
- Understanding of entrepreneurship and enterprise growth strategies.

Volunteer Benefits
Allowance
- All volunteers receive an allowance paid in local currency.
- The allowance is intended to cover reasonable living expenses while serving in-country.
