About the Program

The JamiiAfrica Internship and Volunteer Program is a structured talent development initiative designed for high-potential early-career professionals.

Selected participants will receive:

  • Monthly allowance and contribution-based incentives linked to agreed deliverables.

1. Community Moderation & Platform Stewardship

Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily community discussions.
  • Enforce community guidelines.
  • Follow escalation procedures.
  • Promote safe, inclusive, and constructive conversations.

2. Information Verification & Platform Integrity

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor digital trends and misinformation.
  • Conduct verification research using open sources.
  • Prepare verification reports to support informed public discussions.

3. Digital Engagement Strategy

  • Support engagement strategies and campaign calendars.
  • Research community trends.
  • Develop messaging and communication guidelines.

4. Civic Campaigns & Community Amplification

  • Develop citizen-focused campaign materials.
  • Support public education initiatives.

  • Create digital graphics and campaign materials.
  • Design infographics.
  • Transform data and policy information into visual content.

  • Manage social media interactions.
  • Schedule and publish content.
  • Facilitate constructive online discussions.
  • Monitor civic conversations and trends.

7. Data & Insights

Responsibilities:

  • Track engagement metrics.
  • Analyze community data.
  • Support development of internal dashboards.
  • Provide insights for organizational decisions.

8. Program & Operations Support

Responsibilities:

  • Support project planning and coordination.
  • Manage timelines and deliverables.
  • Assist with logistics for:
    • Campaigns.
    • Webinars.
    • Community dialogues.
  • Maintain digital project systems.

9. Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning (MEL)

Responsibilities:

  • Collect performance data.
  • Gather community feedback.
  • Analyze qualitative and quantitative information.
  • Support preparation of MEL reports and learning briefs.

Ideal Qualifications

Applicants should have:

  • Recent Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in fields such as:
