Position Overview
The Caretaker will provide daily care and support to students with physical disabilities (including spina bifida), ensuring their:
- Health
- Comfort
- Dignity
- Emotional well-being
This is a highly hands-on caregiving role requiring compassion, patience, and medical-related skills.
Key Responsibilities
Daily Care Support
- Assist students before and after classes
- Help with:
- Bathing
- Dressing
- Toileting and hygiene
- Diapering
Medical & Physical Support
- Perform catheterization
- Support bowel management
- Guide students through daily exercises
Personal & Domestic Assistance
- Help with:
- Washing clothes
- Making beds
- Ensure overall cleanliness and comfort
Emotional & Academic Support
- Provide basic counseling and emotional support
- Assist during self-study (e.g., reading activities)
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Diploma in:
- Nursing
- Clinical Officer
- Experience:
- Minimum 3 years, preferably with people with disabilities
Key Skills & Attributes
- Strong understanding of disability care needs
- Compassionate and patient personality
- Good communication skills (English required)
- Physically and emotionally resilient
Additional Requirements
- Gender: Female only
- Age: 35–40 years
- Must be ready to start immediately (May 2026)
