About the Role

LJ Ascendant Group is seeking a qualified and experienced Civil Engineer to oversee and manage civil engineering activities for an airport construction project.

The successful candidate will ensure that civil designs, airfield pavements, and infrastructure works comply with engineering standards, project specifications, and operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

The Civil Engineer will be responsible for:

• Supervising civil, structural, and infrastructure construction works across airport areas, including:
  • Runways
  • Taxiways
  • Aprons
  • Airfield pavements
  • Landside structures
• Reviewing civil engineering drawings, designs, and specifications to ensure:
  • Accuracy
  • Quality
  • Constructability
• Monitoring site progress and ensuring compliance with:
  • Technical specifications
  • Project schedules
  • Engineering standards
• Coordinating with:
  • Design consultants
  • Contractors
  • Airport authorities
• Resolving technical queries and site-related engineering issues.
• Preparing:
  • Technical reports
  • Progress updates
  • Engineering documentation

Qualifications & Requirements

Applicants should have:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Experience serving as a Civil Engineer on at least one airport construction project within the past 10 years.
• More than 10 years of experience in civil engineering design and construction management is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of airfield civil engineering standards, including:
  • ICAO standards
  • FAA standards
  • Applicable local aviation standards
• Valid professional engineering licence or registration is preferred.
