Job Summary

The Compliance Executive will support the implementation and continuous improvement of TotalEnergies’ compliance and governance framework by promoting ethical business practices, conducting compliance monitoring, coordinating training programmes, and supporting due diligence processes.

The position also provides administrative and financial support to the Finance and Accounts Department to ensure efficient day-to-day operations.

  • Frequent interaction with internal management, employees, and external stakeholders.
  • Regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Periodic volatility of the Tanzanian Shilling.
  • A strong corporate culture focused on ethics, integrity, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

1. Compliance & Governance

The successful candidate will:

  • Conduct due diligence searches on prospective third parties and business partners.
  • Follow up on due diligence questionnaires and compliance documentation.
  • Coordinate the “Tone at the Top” programme to strengthen the company’s compliance culture.
  • Promote awareness of the Company’s Code of Conduct.
  • Support the Compliance Officer/PCD in organizing quarterly compliance training sessions.
  • Deliver compliance awareness programmes for:
    • Employees
    • Service Station Staff
    • Dealers
    • Vendors
    • Transporters
    • New staff members
  • Monitor, record, and follow up customer complaints relating to ethics and compliance.
  • Prepare and update compliance reports.
  • Assist in drafting the Annual Compliance Report.
  • Promote adherence to the Total Golden Rules.
  • Encourage the use of STOP Cards to strengthen safety and compliance culture.

2. Administrative & Financial Support

The Compliance Executive will also:

  • Create Purchase Orders (POs).
  • Process Goods Receipts (GRNs) for the Finance and Accounts Department.
  • Develop and maintain an efficient filing and records management system.
  • Ensure proper delivery and tracking of:
    • Memos
    • Letters
    • Invoices
  • Coordinate stationery supplies for departments within Finance and Accounts.

Required Qualifications

Applicants must possess:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in:
    • Business Administration
    • Business Management
    • Commerce
    • Or an equivalent qualification from a recognized university.

Experience

Applicants should have:

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience in compliance, governance, administration, finance, or related business functions.
