Position: Coordinator, Training Support

Objective of the Role
The Coordinator, Training Support serves as the central point of contact for learning and development activities across the organization. The role is responsible for coordinating, administering, and supporting training programs that enhance employee capability, operational performance, safety compliance, and career development.
The successful candidate will work closely with departmental leaders, line managers, trainers, and HR teams to identify training needs, coordinate learning activities, maintain training records, and support talent development and succession planning initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Training Coordination and Development
- Develop, coordinate, and support the implementation of comprehensive training programs.
- Design and coordinate operational, technical, and safety training initiatives.
- Identify organizational training needs in collaboration with departmental leaders and HR teams.
- Develop and maintain annual and periodic training plans and schedules.
Training Administration
- Coordinate onsite and offsite training activities, including:
- Logistics
- Venues
- Training materials
- Attendance management
- Communication and notifications
- Record training attendance and maintain effective training administration processes.
- Prepare training reports, participation records, and compliance documentation.
Learning Management System (LMS) Administration
- Update and maintain employee training records within the Learning Management System.
- Assign mandatory, technical, compliance, and development courses.
- Monitor training completion and certification status.
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of learning records and databases.
Policy and Compliance Support
- Support the development and review of training policies, standards, and procedures.
- Ensure alignment with company requirements and industry best practices.
- Monitor training effectiveness and recommend improvements.
- Ensure compliance with operational, regulatory, and safety training requirements.
Talent Development and Succession Planning
- Support Culture and Capability initiatives.
- Coordinate Talent and Succession Review processes.
- Maintain succession planning pipelines and employee development records.
- Provide management with updated training and development reports.
Education and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in:
- Human Resources Management
- Education
- Training and Development
- Psychology
- Business Administration
- Or a related field
Experience Requirements
- Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in:
- Training coordination
- Learning and Development (L&D)
- Human Resource Development functions
- Experience within large organizations.
- Experience in mining, industrial, construction, or heavy operational environments is preferred.
- Experience coordinating operational, technical, and safety-related training programs.
- Experience in:
- Training administration
- Scheduling and coordination
- Reporting and record management
- Experience using Learning Management Systems (LMS) and HR Information Systems (HRIS).
- Experience supporting talent development and succession planning initiatives is an added advantage.
- Proven ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and priorities.
Knowledge and Skills
Technical Skills
- Training needs assessment and analysis.

- Knowledge of mining operational and safety training requirements.
- Understanding of mandatory compliance and safety training standards.
- Knowledge of workforce capability development programs.
