About the Role

AML Finance Limited is seeking an experienced and analytical Credit Analyst to support its growing business financing portfolio.

The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating business credit requests, assessing risk profiles, structuring credit facilities, and presenting well-supported recommendations to approving authorities to ensure quality portfolio growth.

Key Responsibilities

Credit Analysis & Underwriting

• Conduct in-depth analysis of:
  • Financial statements
  • Cash flow statements
  • Business models
  • Industry and sector-specific risks
• Assess clients’ repayment capacity and creditworthiness.

Proposal Development

• Prepare comprehensive and high-quality credit proposals.
• Present and defend credit recommendations before approving authorities.

Risk & Portfolio Management

• Assess the viability of collateral.
• Verify compliance of credit documentation.
• Monitor portfolio performance using early-warning risk indicators.

Credit Structuring

• Work closely with relationship teams to structure business credit facilities that align with client needs and the institution’s risk appetite.

Candidate Requirements

Applicants should possess:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in:
  • Finance
  • Accounting
  • Economics
  • Business Administration
  • Or a related field
• A minimum of 5 years’ hands-on experience evaluating business credit within a regulated financial institution.
• Strong expertise in:
  • Financial analysis
  • Portfolio monitoring
  • Credit documentation
• Professional qualifications such as CPA, ACCA, CFA, or equivalent will be an added advantage.
• Excellent:
  • Analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Technical report-writing skills
  • Attention to detail and sound judgment
