Job Vacancy: Enumerators – Hand in Hand Eastern Africa (TZ)
Introduction and background
Hand in Hand Eastern Africa Tanzania is part of the global Hand in Hand international network, with independent operations in the Eastern Africa region. Its mission is to support the economic and social empowerment of marginalized women, youth and men—and, consequently, society—by facilitating the creation of sustainable enterprises and jobs.
The organization began operating in Northern Tanzania in August 2016 and rolled out its outreach and promotion activities in January 2018. It currently operates in the following regions:
- Arusha
- Manyara
- Singida
- Dodoma
- Kilimanjaro
- Simiyu
- Iringa
As of June 2026, Hand in Hand Tanzania had:
- Mobilized, trained or been training more than 88,335 members;
- Reached a membership comprising 81% women and 30% youth;
- Supported the creation of more than 50,851 enterprises, of which 20% are eco-enterprises; and
- Supported the creation of more than 75,245 jobs through its Tanzanian programmes.
The organization works with marginalized communities in economic and social empowerment using a participatory approach designed to help people overcome poverty and vulnerability. The Hand in Hand Eastern Africa Tanzania enterprise and job creation approach is founded on a philosophy of self-help. It provides enterprise training, skills and support that enable people living in poverty—particularly women—to establish and sustain independent, market-based economic activities.
Hand in Hand Eastern Africa – Tanzania is inviting applications from qualified and experienced candidates for the position of Enumerators to support data collection activities under the INUA II Project.

Job Overview
Hand in Hand Eastern Africa – Tanzania is seeking skilled Enumerators to assist in collecting quantitative and qualitative data for project activities. Successful candidates will support accurate, timely, and reliable field data collection using digital tools.
Requirements
Applicants must have:
- Diploma or Degree in a relevant field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in quantitative and qualitative data collection.
- Experience using:
- Kobo Collect.
- ODK.
- Digital data collection tools.
- Fluency in both English and Swahili.
- Must be a resident of one of the following regions:
- Iringa.
- Singida.
- Manyara.
