About the Opportunity

Water Mission Tanzania invites qualified and legally registered local contractors or fundis to submit Expressions of Interest (EOIs) for construction and installation works under the ICHACHI Solar-Powered Borehole Water Supply System in Chamwino District, Dodoma Region.

The project will serve communities in Chanhumba, Chibwe Chini, Igandu and Chimwaga, approximately 60 kilometres from Dodoma City.

Key Project Works

The assignment includes:

Rehabilitation of the existing pump and water-treatment houses
Construction and rehabilitation of borehole chambers and water-storage tanks
Construction of valve chambers and security fences
Installation of solar racks and 45 solar panels
Laying and connecting approximately 30.42 kilometres of pipeline
Construction of 29 public water points
Installation of 29 prepaid water meters
Testing, commissioning and handover

Important: All construction materials will be provided by Water Mission Tanzania.

Eligibility Requirements

Interested contractors should have:

Valid business or civil-works licence
Valid TIN, VAT and company-registration certificates
Relevant Contractors Registration Board (CRB) registration
Valid 2026 tax-clearance certificate
Sufficient financial and technical capacity
Relevant experience in water, pipeline, civil-works or infrastructure projects
Qualified technical personnel
A full-time Site Supervisor with at least five years of relevant experience
Necessary tools, equipment and other resources

Applicants must provide evidence of at least three successfully completed similar contracts, together with all other supporting documents specified in the full EOI.
