About MsingiTek
MsingiTek is a tablet-based educational program that provides supplementary learning for students in Standards 1, 2, and 3.
By using Imagine Worldwide tablets and onebillion software, the program creates opportunities for individualized learning, helping children strengthen foundational literacy and numeracy skills.
MsingiTek supports children across Tanzania in building the skills needed to achieve their full potential.

Your Goals
As a MsingiTek Field Officer, you will oversee up to 10 schools and ensure the long-term success of the program.
Your key goals include:
- Ensuring all hardware is functional
- Maintaining smooth and timely learning sessions
- Supporting each learner to achieve at least 100 minutes of quality learning per week
- Strengthening ownership among teachers and headteachers
- Improving attendance and enrollment
- Supporting sustainable program implementation
Success will be measured through:
- Stable or improved learner time-on-task
- Functional equipment
- Strong school ownership of the program
Key Responsibilities
Equipment & Infrastructure
- Support installation and setup of:
- Hardware
- Software
- Infrastructure
- Security improvements
- Ensure readiness before program launch.
Equipment Monitoring
- Monitor functionality of all equipment during school visits.
- Identify and report issues early.
- Ensure quick resolution to minimize learning disruptions.
Inventory & Tablet Scanning
- Conduct monthly inventory and stock counts with Head Teachers.
- Perform tablet scanning for accurate asset tracking and reporting.
Teacher Training
- Conduct onboarding sessions for schools.
- Train teachers on:
- Equipment management
- Session management
- Best practices
- Promote ownership to minimize equipment damage and maximize learning quality.
Community Sensitization
- Conduct awareness and engagement sessions within communities.
- Promote:
- Community support
- Equipment care
- Student attendance
- Program sustainability
Data Reporting
- Ensure 100% accurate and timely tablet data reporting.
- Resolve issues related to non-reporting tablets quickly.
Data Usage
- Use collected data to provide actionable feedback.
- Teach stakeholders how to interpret and use data independently.
School Oversight
- Visit schools weekly during the first months of implementation.
- After stabilization, visit schools at least every two weeks.
- Provide remote follow-ups when necessary.
Problem Solving
- Collaborate with:
- Ward Education Officers (WEOs)
- District officials
- Address operational challenges through joint problem-solving.
Government Engagement
- Support implementation of the annual Government Engagement calendar.
- Coordinate ward- and school-level engagements.
- Prepare school leaders to:
- Present results
- Interpret data
- Identify support needs
Qualifications
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in:
- Community Development
- Education
- Related fields
Experience Requirements
- More than 3 years of experience in:
- Community engagement
- Adult behavior change initiatives
- Experience working in rural communities.
- Experience collaborating with government stakeholders at ward or district level.
- Experience supporting digital or technology-based programs.
- Experience working with teachers and headteachers.
- Experience with data and MEAL processes.
