About the Role

Timeless Waterproof Company is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Finance Assistant / Accountant to support daily finance and accounting operations.

The ideal candidate should have knowledge of Tanzanian tax laws, experience with TRA systems, and the ability to manage accounting records efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

• Handle monthly tax filings through the Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA) system, including:
  • PAYE
  • SDL
  • Provisional Tax
  • VAT Returns
• Ensure accurate and timely submission of all taxes.
• Record and manage daily financial transactions in Tally, including:
  • Inventory and stock records
  • Sales
  • Expenses
  • Imports and related costs
• Assist the Finance Manager with:
  • Invoice and document filing
  • Financial records organization
  • Tax communication and follow-up
  • Audit and tax review documentation
• Support general accounting and administrative finance duties as assigned.

Requirements

Applicants should have:

• Knowledge of Tanzanian tax regulations and TRA systems.
• Experience using Tally accounting software.
• Basic accounting and bookkeeping skills.
• Good organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Previous experience in finance, accounting, or tax-related work is an added advantage.
