Job Summary

The organization is seeking a competent Fitter Mechanic with at least 2 years of experience in plastic manufacturing plants. The role involves the installation, maintenance, and repair of machinery used in plastic processing to ensure efficient and continuous production.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, assemble, and maintain plastic processing machinery such as injection molding, extrusion, and blow molding machines.

• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of mechanical systems.

• Diagnose faults and carry out timely repairs to minimize downtime.

• Align and fit machine components using appropriate tools and techniques.

• Read and interpret mechanical drawings and equipment manuals.

• Support machine setup, changeovers, and production runs.

• Ensure adherence to safety standards and plant procedures.

• Maintain maintenance records and report issues to supervisors.

Requirements

• Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Fitter Mechanics, or a related field.

• Minimum 2 years of experience in plastics or a similar manufacturing industry.

• Knowledge of plastic processing machines, including injection, extrusion, and blow molding.

• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and maintenance skills.

• Ability to read technical drawings and manuals.

• Good understanding of safety practices in industrial environments.

Preferred Skills

• Basic welding and fabrication skills.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet production targets.

• Teamwork and good communication skills.

• Fluent in Swahili and Basic English language.
