About the Role
The Fraud Analyst 24/7 will be responsible for detecting and preventing fraud through continuous monitoring of fraud alerting systems for M-PESA and GSM services.
The role focuses on real-time surveillance, rapid response to fraud alerts, timely escalation of suspicious activities, and supporting regulatory fraud investigations when required.
Key Responsibilities
- Continuously monitor real-time data and fraud alerts to detect and respond to suspicious activities within established SLAs.
- Conduct initial analysis of fraud alerts and incidents using fraud management tools.
- Accurately document findings and escalate cases to the relevant Fraud Analyst, Manager, or investigation team.
- Perform initial checks and take immediate action to minimize potential financial losses.
- Assist in preparing and submitting information required for regulatory fraud investigations.
- Maintain strict confidentiality, integrity, and professionalism in all activities.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum Diploma or Degree.
- IT or a related field is an added advantage.
- At least 1 year of progressive experience in the telecommunications industry.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to interact with people at different levels.
- High level of integrity, honesty, and confidentiality.
- Ability to work night shifts and within a 24/7 shift pattern.
- Proficiency in:
- Microsoft Word
- Microsoft PowerPoint
- Microsoft Excel
Work Schedule
This position operates on a 24/7 shift pattern.
Shift times may vary depending on operational requirements and flexible scheduling needs. Candidates should therefore be prepared to work different shifts, including night shifts.
