WE’RE HIRING: FRONT-END LOADER OPERATOR (3 POSTS)

Shanta Gold is looking for qualified operators to join the team at the Singida Gold Mine.

Role Details

• Location: Singida Gold Mine

• Work Schedule: 6 Weeks On / 3 Weeks Off

• Contract Type: Open-Ended

• Reports To: Process Plant Supervisor

🔍 Role Overview

The Front-End Loader Operator supports mining and processing operations by operating mobile equipment in line with approved safety standards and production requirements. This role is essential for quality material handling, equipment care, and ensuring production targets are met safely.

⚙️ Key Responsibilities

🚜 Operations & Equipment Handling

• Safe Operation: Operate front-end loaders safely and efficiently to support production and material handling.

• Material Handling: Load, transport, and stockpile materials according to operational instructions.

• Versatility: Operate additional authorized equipment (where trained and licensed) such as dump trucks (TH), backhoes, bobcats, forklifts, and cherry pickers.

• Equipment Care: Conduct pre-start inspections and promptly report defects or breakdowns to the Supervisor.

🦺 Safety, Health & Compliance

• Risk Management: Perform task risk assessments before starting work to identify and control hazards.

• Site Compliance: Fully comply with Shanta Mining Company Limited health, safety, and environmental policies.

• Interaction: Ensure safe interaction with pedestrians and other equipment at all times.

📋 Planning, Reporting & Teamwork

• Coordination: Confirm task requirements and priorities with the Supervisor before starting.

• Communication: Provide daily feedback on work progress and equipment performance.

• Engagement: Participate in weekly departmental meetings, toolbox talks, and safety meetings.

• Culture: Promote teamwork and a positive safety culture within the operations team.

🎓 Qualifications & Experience

• Education: Form Four (IV) Certificate.

• Certification: Certificate in Loader / Heavy-Duty Equipment Operation from a recognized institution.

• License: Valid Tanzanian Driving License.

• Experience: Mining industry experience is preferred.

• Advantage: Exposure to heavy-duty equipment modules relevant to the assigned machinery.
