Job Details

Job Purpose

The successful candidate will be responsible for efficiently managing warehouse operations and handling stock to achieve performance and customer service objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Load and unload all forms of transport safely and efficiently.
• Redistribute inventory on site as required.
• Pick orders efficiently and effectively.
• Assist with stacking and unstacking of bins.
• Build stable and interlocking stacks during stacking and de-stacking.
• Check and guide other workers to ensure proper stacking procedures are followed.
• Properly fasten tarpaulins on open-body trucks to protect sugar from water and dust during transportation.
• Identify opportunities and suggest improvements to warehouse operations.
• Maintain safety standards, including proper use of PPE and safe working practices.
• Prevent product quality damage during loading and stacking.
• Perform warehouse cleaning and maintain high housekeeping standards.
• Keep work and staff areas clean and orderly.
• Follow Kilombero’s procedures, policies and guidelines, including those relating to SHERQ, Competition Law, and Anti-Bribery and Corruption (ABC).

Qualifications & Experience

• Matric or equivalent secondary school leaving qualification
• Good physical fitness and sufficient strength and endurance to perform manual tasks.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work across different areas of the warehouse.
