HEALTH SAFETY AND SECURITY OFFICER
Company: TAIFA GAS

Taifa Gas Tanzania Limited is one of the leading liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) distributors in Tanzania and a major energy player across East Africa. Originally incorporated in 2005 as Mihan Gas Company Limited, the firm underwent significant investment and strategic restructuring before rebranding to Taifa Gas in 2018. Headquartered with a massive main storage and refilling terminal in Kigamboni, Dar es Salaam, the company supplies clean, affordable cooking gas to residential households, commercial businesses, and institutions nationwide.
Through an extensive logistics setup—comprising over 20 regional depots and sub-depots—Taifa Gas maintains a robust supply chain to ensure product availability even in remote areas. Beyond its strong domestic footprint in Tanzania, the company exports bulk LPG and cylinders to neighboring countries including Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, Zambia, and the Democratic Republic of Congo. This continuous infrastructure growth supports regional efforts to transition from traditional biomass fuels toward cleaner, safer energy alternatives.
