Job Purpose
The Assistant General Manager will support the overall management of the lodge, ensuring high-quality guest experiences, operational excellence, staff development, sustainability, conservation and community engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Lodge Operations & Guest Experience
- Support overall lodge operations.
- Ensure excellent guest experience and service delivery.
- Drive operational excellence across:
- Housekeeping
- Butlers
- Kitchen
- Guest services
Staff & HR Management
- Assist with staff training and development.
- Support HR activities and performance management.
- Provide leadership and guidance to lodge teams.
Financial & Business Administration
- Support budgeting and financial reporting.
- Assist with operational projects.
- Manage and maintain supplier relationships.
Marketing & Communications
- Oversee social media initiatives.
- Support PR and communication activities.
- Help strengthen the lodge’s brand and market presence.
Conservation & Community Development
- Assist with conservation initiatives.
- Participate in community development projects.
- Support the organization’s sustainability objectives.
Strategic Management
- Participate in strategic meetings.
- Contribute to lodge development initiatives.
- Support continuous improvement and operational planning.
Requirements
Education
- Higher Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management.
Experience
- 3–4 years of hospitality management experience.
