Job Overview

United Petroleum is seeking a proactive Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Officer to promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards across its operations in Zanzibar.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and standards.
• Conduct workplace inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
• Investigate incidents and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
• Coordinate HSE training programs, emergency drills, and regulatory compliance activities.
• Maintain HSE records and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, or an equivalent HSE certification is an added advantage.
• Minimum of 3 years of HSE experience in the petroleum, oil & gas, energy, or logistics sector.
