About the Role

United Petroleum is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead and oversee its petroleum storage, transportation, and distribution operations in Zanzibar. The successful candidate will ensure operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and efficient management of depot and distribution activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operational activities across petroleum depots and distribution networks.
• Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards and all applicable regulatory requirements.
• Oversee inventory management and monitor overall operational performance.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to achieve operational efficiency and business objectives.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, cost control measures, and operational excellence.

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants should meet the following requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years’ relevant work experience, including at least 3 years in a managerial position.
• Strong leadership, planning, communication, and problem-solving skills.
