ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a professional, organized, and compassionate Hospital Receptionist / Patient Services Administrator to join our healthcare team. This role is central to ensuring the smooth coordination of patient services by providing exceptional front-desk support, managing medical documentation, and acting as a key liaison between patients, doctors, and other healthcare professionals.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, maintains strict confidentiality, communicates effectively, and thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Front-Desk Excellence: Welcome and assist patients, visitors, and healthcare professionals in a courteous and professional manner.

Appointment Management: Schedule, confirm, and coordinate patient appointments.

Records & Documentation: Register patients, maintain accurate medical/administrative records, and manage patient correspondence.

Care Coordination: Liaise with doctors, nurses, laboratories, insurers, and patients to ensure effective communication and continuity of care.

Referrals & Follow-ups: Coordinate referrals, medical reports, diagnostic requests, and follow-up appointments.

Communication Hub: Answer telephone calls, respond to enquiries, and direct communications appropriately.

Data Protection: Ensure patient records are updated accurately and handled in strict accordance with confidentiality and data protection policies.

Financial Administration: Process billing information, payments, and insurance documentation where applicable.

Facility Support: Maintain an organized reception area and support the day-to-day administrative operations of the facility.
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Diploma or certificate in Business Administration, Health Administration, Secretarial Studies, or a related field.

Experience: Previous experience working in a hospital, clinic, or healthcare setting is preferred.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) or hospital information systems is a distinct advantage.
