As part of its continued growth, the company is expanding its hospitality portfolio through the development of premium safari lodges.
The company is seeking an experienced Human Resources & Administration Manager to establish a high-performing workforce, implement effective HR and administrative systems, and promote a culture of excellence.
Position Summary
Reporting to the Group Managing Director, the Human Resources & Administration Manager will provide strategic leadership in all human resource and administrative functions across the company.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing HR policies, managing talent acquisition and development, ensuring compliance with Tanzanian labour laws, and overseeing administrative operations to support efficient business performance.
Key Responsibilities
Human Resources Management
- Develop, implement, and improve HR policies, procedures, and systems.
- Lead workforce planning, recruitment, employee selection, onboarding, and induction.
- Develop performance management and employee development programs.
- Coordinate staff training and succession planning initiatives.
- Manage employee relations, disciplinary procedures, and grievance handling.
- Ensure compliance with Tanzanian labour legislation and employment standards.
- Oversee compensation, benefits administration, leave management, and employee records.
- Promote a positive workplace culture based on professionalism, accountability, and service excellence.
Administration Management
- Establish and manage efficient administrative systems and procedures.
- Oversee office administration, company assets, and records management.
- Manage procurement of office equipment and administrative supplies.
- Coordinate facilities management, security services, utilities, and office maintenance.
- Supervise administrative staff and external service providers.
- Maintain accurate company documentation and administrative records.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and organizational standards.
Qualifications and Requirements
Applicants should have:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Public Administration, or related fields.
- Master’s Degree will be an added advantage.
- Professional HR certification is desirable.
- Minimum 7 years of relevant experience, including at least 3 years in a managerial role.
- Experience in hospitality, tourism, hotels, or lodge operations is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience establishing HR systems and administrative processes.
- Strong knowledge of Tanzanian labour laws and employment practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and HR information systems.
