Role Purpose

The ICT Officer – Infrastructure will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, security, and support of ICT infrastructure systems, ensuring high availability, security, and performance across servers, networks, and end-user systems.

The role also supports business continuity through backups, disaster recovery, and proactive system monitoring.

Key Responsibilities

1. ICT Infrastructure Management

• Install, configure, and maintain:
  • Servers
  • Networks
  • Hardware and software systems
  • Peripheral devices
• Ensure stable and efficient ICT infrastructure operations

---

2. System Monitoring & Troubleshooting

• Monitor system performance continuously
• Identify and resolve technical issues
• Minimize downtime through rapid incident response
• Ensure system reliability and availability

---

3. ICT Security Management

• Implement security controls to protect systems and data
• Prevent unauthorized access, malware, and cyber threats
• Enforce ICT security policies and procedures
• Monitor compliance with security standards and regulations

---

4. User Access Management

• Manage:
  • User accounts
  • Permissions
  • Access rights
• Ensure compliance with internal security policies
• Support secure onboarding and offboarding of users

---

5. Backup & Disaster Recovery

• Perform regular data backups
• Implement disaster recovery procedures
• Safeguard critical systems and organizational data
• Ensure business continuity readiness

---

6. Technical Support

• Provide end-user ICT support
• Resolve hardware and software issues
• Respond to technical queries and service requests
• Maintain user satisfaction and productivity

---

7. Vendor & Procurement Support

• Collaborate with ICT vendors and service providers
• Support procurement of ICT equipment and services
• Ensure cost-effectiveness and quality standards
• Assist in vendor evaluation and coordination

---

8. ICT Innovation & Improvement

• Stay updated with emerging ICT technologies
• Recommend infrastructure improvements
• Support modernization and system upgrades
• Contribute to ICT strategy enhancements

9. Compliance & Policy Enforcement

• Ensure adherence to ICT policies and standards
• Monitor regulatory compliance requirements
• Support audits and internal controls

---

10. Project & Business Support

• Support ICT-related business initiatives and projects
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Provide technical expertise for ICT-driven solutions

---

11. On-Call Support

• Participate in on-call rotation
• Provide after-hours support for critical incidents
• Respond to emergencies when required

---
