About the Consultancy
UNICEF plans to support the Tanzania Social Action Fund (TASAF) in strengthening the social and behaviour change (SBC) dimensions of Imarisha Kaya, with particular focus on:
- Nutrition across the life cycle.
- Infant and young child feeding.
- Responsive caregiving and parenting.
- Early childhood development and learning.
- Adolescent and youth development.
- Economic inclusion.
- Social marketing.
- Behaviour change communication.
To support implementation, UNICEF seeks an international consultant to provide technical assistance in designing and operationalizing an integrated Social and Behaviour Change (SBC) strategy and related implementation tools.

Minimum Requirements
Education
- Master’s degree in a related subject area, such as:
- Communication
- Anthropology
- Community Psychology
- Social Marketing
- Instructional Design
- Interdisciplinary academic experience is particularly relevant.
Professional Experience
- At least 15 years of professional experience in strategic communication, including:
- Behavioural Sciences
- Social and Behaviour Change
- Advocacy
- Public information
- At least 5–10 years of research experience related to strategic communication.
- Experience in designing, implementing, and monitoring broader national SBC radio programme interventions.
- Experience using qualitative methods in large-scale and complex research designs.
- Experience developing creative concepts and supervising creative production.
- Demonstrated leadership in designing SBC radio programmes and community-led initiatives in developing-country contexts, preferably in Africa.
Language Requirements
- Fluency in English.

- Experience working with government Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs).
