Job Summary

NCBA Bank is seeking an IT Strategy & Value Specialist to support enterprise-wide IT strategy, technology investment analysis, business-case development, and benefits realization.

The role serves as a bridge between IT, Finance, Strategy, and business leadership, helping the organization evaluate technology investments, measure their financial and business value, and communicate strategic insights to senior management.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Planning Support – 30%

  • Evaluate IT proposals and business cases.
  • Assess feasibility, financial returns, and strategic alignment.
  • Work with stakeholders to improve initiatives before project execution.
  • Present recommendations to senior management and ICT governance forums.

2. Performance Measurement & Value Realization – 30%

  • Define KPIs for IT initiatives.
  • Develop dashboards and benefits-tracking models.
  • Monitor post-implementation performance.
  • Compare actual outcomes with original business-case assumptions.
  • Report on the return and value generated from technology investments.

3. Market Trends & Research – 20%

  • Analyze technology and financial-services trends.
  • Monitor changes in customer behavior.
  • Prepare market intelligence briefs and forecasts.
  • Provide forward-looking insights to support IT strategy.

4. Data Storytelling & Visualization – 10%

  • Develop executive-level presentations and dashboards.
  • Use Power BI and Tableau to visualize strategic information.
  • Apply digital and video storytelling techniques.
  • Communicate complex technical and business insights clearly.

5. Stakeholder & Strategic Engagement – 10%

  • Collaborate with Finance, Strategy, IT, and business leadership.
  • Ensure technology investments align with enterprise priorities.
  • Influence decisions using evidence-based recommendations.
  • Engage vendors, service providers, and other stakeholders when required.

Academic Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in:
    • Information Technology,
    • Business Administration, or
    • A related field.
  • Training or certification in ITIL, Lean, Six Sigma, or project management is desirable.

Professional Experience

  • 2–4 years of experience in:
    • Technology strategy,
    • Business analysis,
    • Enterprise planning, or
    • Performance management.
  • Experience should preferably be within the financial services sector.
  • Proficiency in:
    • Power BI
    • Tableau
    • Excel
    • Business-case modelling.

Desired Skills

The ideal candidate should have knowledge or experience in:

  • Financial modelling: NPV, ROI, and Payback.
  • Market research and trend analysis.
