Job Summary

Absa is looking for a Prestige Banker responsible for providing excellent customer service while proactively selling banking products and developing customer relationships.

The role involves account opening, product sales, cross-selling, customer relationship management, complaint handling, marketing activities, and achieving assigned sales and financial targets.

The successful candidate will be based at a designated branch but may be required to support other nearby branches when needed.

Key Responsibilities

1. Sales & Customer Service

  • Open current accounts, savings accounts, loan products, card products, and other assigned banking products.
  • Provide face-to-face customer service according to Absa’s service standards.
  • Build relationships with existing customers and identify future financial needs.
  • Cross-sell relevant banking products and services.
  • Assist customers in completing bank forms and documentation.
  • Introduce customers to appropriate product or segment specialists.
  • Participate in inbound and outbound marketing campaigns and promotions.
  • Handle customer complaints within the banking hall.
  • Support effective customer onboarding and relationship deepening.
  • Work toward assigned sales and service targets.
  • Achieve individual financial targets.

2. Branch Administration

  • Complete follow-up documentation and administrative activities.
  • Maintain accurate sales statistics and monitor progress against targets.
  • Ensure efficient and compliant branch operations.
  • Assist with maintaining proper banking hall presentation, cleanliness, displays, and merchandising.

3. Risk & Compliance

  • Ensure all activities comply with:
    • Regulatory requirements.
    • Absa’s Operational Risk Framework.
    • Absa policies and standards.
    • Account-opening and KYC requirements.
  • Follow approved sales and service procedures.
