Sihotech Engineering Company Limited is seeking a qualified and experienced Land Surveyor to join its dynamic team.

Land Surveyor

Working Station

Dodoma & Elsewhere in Tanzania and Eastern Africa

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct topographic, boundary, and as-built surveys using modern surveying equipment, including Total Station, GPS, GNSS, and RTK machines.
• Prepare and maintain accurate survey records, maps, reports, and legal descriptions of surveys.
• Interpret construction drawings and specifications to determine project layouts.
• Set out construction works, including roads, buildings, pipelines, and utilities.
• Verify the accuracy of survey data, including measurements and calculations conducted at survey sites.
• Collaborate with civil engineers, architects, technicians, and project/construction managers to ensure accurate implementation of designs.
• Monitor and report any discrepancies between actual layouts and design plans.
• Ensure compliance with legal standards and health and safety regulations during survey operations.
• Use CAD and GIS software to produce detailed site plans and layouts.
• Supervise and coordinate with junior surveyors or survey crews as required.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Geomatics, Land Surveying, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in construction or land development projects.
• Proven experience using surveying equipment and software, including:
  • Total Station
  • RTK Machine
  • Dumpy Level Instrument
  • AutoCAD
  • Civil 3D
  • GPS
  • GIS
