Job Purpose

The Logistics Handling Operations Operator will coordinate and manage the end-to-end shipment planning process by ensuring timely collection of delivery orders, completion of required documentation, and prompt payment of shipping line charges.

The role involves maintaining effective communication with shipping lines and stakeholders to resolve operational issues, reduce delays and costs, and improve overall supply chain efficiency and service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate collection of shipping line charges, payment processing, and delivery order applications to ensure timely cargo clearance.
• Ensure proper documentation for delivery order applications, including authorization letters, guarantee forms, and other required documents.
• Follow up on shipping documents including:
  • Bills of Lading
  • Drop-off letters
  • Payment receipts
  • Inward interchange documents
  • Container deposit refunds and payment adjustments.
• Coordinate with import, export, transit, and project teams to ensure documents meet shipping line requirements before submission.
• Work closely with the transport team to ensure container returns are completed within valid timelines.
• Ensure payment invoices and receipts are submitted to the finance department on time for reconciliation and billing purposes.

• Knowledge of logistics operations, shipping documentation, and supply chain processes.
• Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders including shipping lines, transport teams, and internal departments.
• Strong documentation management and follow-up skills.
• Good communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced logistics environment.
