As Tanganyika Blue expands its aquaculture operations and relocates to Kimbwela, Kigoma, the company is seeking a flexible and organization-oriented Human Resources Officer to support workforce operations.
Job Purpose
The Human Resources Officer will manage daily HR activities, ensuring accurate employee records, effective staff administration, and compliance with company policies and labour regulations.
The role will coordinate employee performance reviews, attendance management, payroll inputs, training records, health and safety activities, and employee relations matters while supporting smooth workforce operations and employee development.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate employee appraisals, performance reviews, and development plans.
- Manage daily HR operations, including:
- Attendance tracking
- Payroll inputs
- Leave management
- Training records
- Employee loans
- Staff documentation
- Implement and enforce HR policies, procedures, and labour law compliance.
- Manage employee relations activities, including:
- Disciplinary processes
- Employee complaints
- Workplace investigations
- Monthly health and safety meetings
- Perform other duties assigned by management.
Minimum Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management or a related field.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Awareness of workplace safety and traceability practices.
- Strong spoken and written English and Swahili skills.
- Excellent computer skills; proficiency in MS Office is an added advantage.
