Job Purpose

The Maintenance Worker – Plumbing will be responsible for carrying out plumbing maintenance, installation, inspection, and repair works on water supply systems, drainage systems, sanitary fittings, irrigation infrastructure, and related plumbing facilities within the Estate.

The role will ensure that plumbing systems operate safely and efficiently and that all work is completed according to approved standards and specifications.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

• Carry out plumbing maintenance and repairs on water reticulation systems, pipelines, valves, pumps, tanks, sanitary fittings, and related infrastructure.
• Install, replace, and maintain plumbing fixtures, including taps, toilets, sinks, water heaters, and drainage systems.
• Diagnose and repair leaks, blockages, damaged pipes, and other plumbing faults in a timely manner.
• Conduct planned preventative maintenance on plumbing systems and equipment according to maintenance schedules.
• Inspect plumbing installations and report defects or potential failures to the Estate Maintenance Foreman.
• Ensure all plumbing works are performed according to approved standards and specifications.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and materials in good working condition and report shortages where necessary.
• Cooperate with management to enable them to perform their duties under the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, environmental, and company procedures while carrying out assigned duties.
• Maintain a clean working environment through proper housekeeping.
• Ensure that all operations are carried out in accordance with Quality Management System requirements to achieve the required quality standards.
• Perform all tasks with awareness of pollution prevention and environmental protection.

Must-Have Skills

• Good communication skills.

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants should have:

• Trade Test Grade II or Level II in Plumbing.
• Form Four Secondary Certificate.
• 1–2 years of experience in plumbing maintenance or a related environment.
• Knowledge of water supply systems, drainage systems, pipe fitting, leak detection, and plumbing repairs.
• Experience in welding, irrigation systems, and pump maintenance will be an added advantage.

Terms of Service

The successful candidate will be engaged on a Permanent Contract.
