Job Purpose
The Manager, Global Markets Product Controller is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely reporting, reconciliation, and substantiation of Global Markets and Treasury products across both the income statement and balance sheet.
The role combines financial control, product control, treasury accounting, management reporting, and business performance analysis to support revenue growth, risk management, and informed decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
1. Profit & Loss (P&L) and Balance Sheet Reporting
- Produce and validate daily, weekly, and monthly P&L reports.
- Prepare and review balance sheet reports related to Global Markets and Treasury products.
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and integrity of financial information.
- Monitor financial performance and reporting quality.
2. Reconciliations and Financial Control
- Perform reconciliations between:
- Front-office trading systems
- Core banking systems
- General Ledger (GL)
- Reconcile:
- Currency positions
- Treasury balances
- Product balances
- Investigate and resolve reconciliation differences promptly.
3. Financial Analysis and Performance Insights
- Analyze movements in:
- Revenue
- Expenses
- Trading income
- Balance sheet accounts
- Provide variance analysis and explanations.
- Deliver actionable business insights to management and trading teams.
- Support business strategy through financial intelligence.
4. Stakeholder Engagement
- Partner with:
- Front Office/Trading teams
- Finance teams
- Risk Management teams
- Translate financial results into commercially meaningful information.
- Support decision-making with analytical and financial expertise.
5. Product Development Support
- Assist in implementing new Treasury and Global Markets products.
- Design reporting structures and control frameworks.
- Support system enhancements and reporting requirements.
6. Process Improvement & Automation
- Identify opportunities for automation.
- Improve efficiency of reporting and reconciliation processes.
- Enhance data quality and reporting accuracy.
- Support scalable financial control solutions.
7. Special Projects
- Participate in:
- Business initiatives
- Financial transformation projects
- Ad-hoc analysis assignments
- Strategic finance projects
Academic Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s Degree in:
- Finance
- Accounting
Preferred
- CPA
- ACCA
- Equivalent professional accounting qualification
Experience Requirements

- 2–3 years’ experience in:

- Treasury Product Control
- Finance Control
- Market Risk Support
- Similar financial control environments
