Position: Merchant Analyst
Role Purpose
The Merchant Analyst will be responsible for:
- Extracting and analysing merchant and channel performance data
- Monitoring KPIs and commercial performance
- Developing reports and dashboards
- Supporting business decision-making with actionable insights
The role works closely with cross-functional teams to improve operational efficiency and business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Design and optimize SQL queries for data extraction and reporting
- Develop and maintain merchant performance dashboards
- Ensure KPI reporting accuracy and timeliness
- Analyze merchant acquisition channel performance
Business Intelligence & Insights
- Translate complex data into actionable commercial insights
- Identify:
- Growth opportunities
- Performance gaps
- Customer value drivers
- Support strategic business decisions through data analysis
Reporting & Performance Management
Manage reporting related to:
- Merchant acquisition channels
- Commissions and payouts
- Campaign performance analysis
- Reward and recognition programs
Collaboration & Stakeholder Support
- Work closely with MIS teams and stakeholders
- Resolve reporting and data quality issues
- Support business cases with analytical insights
Required Qualifications
Applicants should possess:
- Bachelor’s degree in:
- Statistics
- Accounting
- Actuarial Science
- Data Science
- Economics
- Related field
Technical Skills
Candidates should demonstrate:
SQL & Data Management
- Advanced SQL expertise
- Query optimization skills
- Data extraction from multiple data sources
BI & Visualization Tools
Proficiency in:
- Power BI
- Tableau
- Looker
Strong understanding of:
- Data visualization
- Reporting best practices
