Role Purpose
The Officer – Supporter Relations is responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with the school’s global supporters by ensuring they receive timely, meaningful, and engaging communications about the impact of their contributions.
Key Responsibilities
1. Donor & Supporter Stewardship
- Deliver personalized thank-you messages, emails, and updates
- Coordinate thoughtful donor gifts and communications
- Ensure supporters feel appreciated and connected to the mission
2. Communication & Coordination
- Work with internal teams to gather and prepare supporter updates
- Produce communication materials and engagement content
- Support coordination of cross-departmental donor communications
3. Data Management & Reporting
- Maintain accurate supporter records and databases
- Ensure timely and relevant donor updates
- Track engagement metrics and support reporting against KPIs
4. Events & Engagement Support
- Assist in planning supporter tours and virtual (Zoom) events
- Conduct background research and prepare event materials
- Support execution of donor engagement activities
5. Monitoring & Continuous Improvement
- Track communication performance against KPIs
- Provide feedback to improve supporter engagement strategies
- Support reporting and analysis of donor relations activities
Candidate Profile
Education
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in:
- Communications
- Marketing
- Development Studies
- Related fields
Experience
- Experience in one or more of:
- Donor relations
- Customer service
- Fundraising
- Project coordination
Skills Required
Communication
- Excellent written English (clear, professional, engaging tone)
- Strong interpersonal communication across cultures
Organization & Administration
- Strong time management and multitasking abilities
- Attention to detail and accuracy
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in:
- Microsoft Word
- Outlook
- Excel
- Teams
- Bonus: experience with donor databases or email design tools
