Position Overview

Zee Collections Company Limited is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee the end-to-end supply chain process for its liquor distribution business. The successful candidate will ensure products are efficiently received, stored, transported, and delivered from Zanzibar to customers across Tanzania.

The role requires strong expertise in logistics, inventory management, distribution operations, and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Warehouse & Inventory Management

• Manage daily warehouse operations and inventory activities.
• Monitor stock levels and implement effective inventory control procedures.
• Minimize stock losses, damages, and operational inefficiencies.
• Collaborate with Finance and Sales teams to maintain optimal inventory levels.

Logistics & Distribution

• Coordinate transportation and delivery schedules across Tanzania.
• Ensure timely order fulfillment and customer deliveries.
• Oversee distribution processes to improve efficiency and service quality.
• Manage relationships with transport partners and suppliers.

Team Leadership & Supervision

• Supervise warehouse personnel, drivers, and logistics teams.
• Provide leadership, guidance, and performance management to operational staff.
• Promote a culture of accountability, efficiency, and safety.

Operations Management & Compliance

• Develop and implement operational policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
• Identify operational challenges and implement corrective actions.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain.

Reporting & Performance Monitoring

• Generate operational reports and performance analyses.
• Monitor key operational metrics and targets.
• Recommend process improvements to enhance productivity and cost efficiency.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in:
  • Supply Chain Management
  • Logistics
  • Business Administration
  • Operations Management
  • Or a related field

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in:
  • Logistics Management
  • Operations Management
  • Warehouse Management
  • Distribution Operations

Technical Competencies

• Experience managing inventory and transportation operations.
• Proficiency in inventory management systems.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills.
• Knowledge of supply chain and distribution processes.

Leadership Competencies

• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Ability to supervise diverse operational teams.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet operational targets.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in:
  • FMCG
  • Beverage Distribution
  • Liquor Distribution
  • Wholesale Operations

Other Requirement

• Must be willing to relocate to Zanzibar.
