About the Role

AB InBev (Tanzania Breweries Limited) is seeking a PPM Manager (Plant Process Management / Performance Manager) to join its operations in Arusha, Tanzania.
The PPM Manager plays a key role in driving operational excellence, routine management, and continuous performance improvement across plant operations. This role focuses on implementing standard management systems (VOP/VPO), tracking key performance indicators (KPIs), optimizing process efficiency, leading performance reviews, and ensuring strict adherence to safety, quality, and cost management standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Performance Management & Monitoring: Oversee plant operational KPIs, track performance metrics across production departments, and analyze process variances to ensure targets are met.
  • Management Systems Implementation: Drive the execution of AB InBev’s Voyager Plant Optimization (VPO) / routine management frameworks within the plant.
  • Process Optimization & Continuous Improvement: Identify operational bottlenecks, root causes of downtime or inefficiencies, and lead problem-solving initiatives (e.g., 5-Why, PDCA, DMAIC).
  • Cost & Budget Management: Monitor plant operational expenditure, track utility and material usage efficiencies, and support cost-saving initiatives.
  • Reporting & Governance: Lead routine management meetings (daily/weekly/monthly performance reviews), compile operational reports, and communicate insights to plant leadership and regional teams.
  • Cross-Functional Support: Work closely with Brewing, Packaging, Quality, EHS (Environment, Health & Safety), and Maintenance teams to ensure seamless operational synchronization.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Industrial), Business Administration, Supply Chain, or a related technical discipline.
  • Experience:
    • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing, FMCG, brewing, or industrial plant operations.
    • Proven experience in operational performance management, process improvement, or continuous improvement frameworks (WCM, Lean, TPM, 6 Sigma).
  • Technical Skills & Competencies:
    • Strong knowledge of manufacturing performance frameworks and KPI tracking.
    • Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and data management skills.
    • Proficiency in SAP, MS Excel, and performance management dashboards.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and cross-functional communication abilities.
    • High attention to detail with a focus on accountability and operational discipline.
