TrustLink Insurance Brokers Ltd is seeking a qualified and experienced professional to fill the position of Principal Officer.
Position Summary
The Principal Officer will be responsible for overseeing regulatory compliance, brokerage operations, stakeholder engagement, and business growth initiatives. The role serves as the primary link between the company and regulatory authorities while ensuring efficient operations and high standards of client service.
Key Responsibilities
Regulatory Compliance & Governance
The successful candidate will:
- Act as the official liaison between the company and the Tanzania Insurance Regulatory Authority (TIRA).
- Ensure full compliance with the Insurance Act and all applicable regulatory requirements.
- Manage:
- Licensing requirements
- Regulatory filings
- Statutory reporting obligations
- Coordinate:
- Regulatory audits
- Compliance reviews
- Regulatory inspections
- Ensure continuous compliance with “Fit and Proper” requirements.
Insurance Brokerage Operations
Responsibilities include:
- Overseeing daily brokerage operations to ensure efficiency and service excellence.
- Ensuring proper documentation and maintenance of:
- Insurance policies
- Renewals
- Client records
- Monitoring premium collection and remittance compliance.
- Supporting claims administration and client service activities.
- Ensuring operational processes comply with industry standards and regulations.
Client Advisory & Relationship Management
The Principal Officer will:
- Provide professional advice on:
- Insurance products
- Risk management solutions
- Insurance coverage options
- Support clients throughout the insurance lifecycle.
- Strengthen relationships with:
- Insurance companies
- Business partners
- Key stakeholders
- Promote customer satisfaction and service quality.
Business Development
The role also involves:
- Supporting business growth initiatives.
- Contributing to portfolio development strategies.
- Identifying opportunities for market expansion.
- Strengthening the company’s position within the insurance industry.
Qualifications
Applicants must possess:
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Insurance.
Experience Requirements
Candidates should have:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in:
- Insurance
- Insurance Brokerage
- Regulatory Compliance
- Insurance Operations
- Client Service
Preferred Experience
- Insurance operations management.
- Regulatory compliance and reporting.
- Insurance brokerage administration.
- Stakeholder and client relationship management.
