Job Summary

The Program Officer will provide technical support to projects implemented at branch level.

The role involves:

  • Planning project operations
  • Coordinating implementation activities
  • Monitoring project deliverables
  • Ensuring projects meet donor agreements, budgets, and timelines

Duties & Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

  • Spearhead implementation of assigned project activities.
  • Support review of operational plans, work plans, and project performance guidelines.
  • Promote HIHEA TZ products and services.
  • Manage members’ access to credit and financial partnerships.
  • Monitor:
    • Business performance
    • Savings
    • Credit disbursements
    • Microfinance uptake
  • Analyze credit risks and advise on mitigation strategies.
  • Provide technical support in project implementation and planning.
  • Coordinate partnerships with:
    • Government ministries
    • National institutions
    • Donor-funded programs
  • Support business development initiatives for members.
  • Introduce innovative methodologies to strengthen enterprise development programs.
  • Support revision of training manuals and monitoring frameworks.
  • Build staff capacity on revised training materials.
  • Disseminate best practices among project beneficiaries.
  • Coordinate meetings with local leaders and stakeholders.
  • Support proposal development and new projects.
  • Maintain relationships with project stakeholders and professional networks.
  • Support donor and stakeholder field visits.
  • Participate in forums and stakeholder engagements when nominated.
  • Promote visibility and public relations for HIHEA TZ projects.
  • Perform additional duties assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications & Requirements

Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s Degree in:

  • Community Development
  • Project Planning and Management
  • Business Administration
  • Agricultural Economics
  • Agri-business Management
  • Cooperatives Management and Entrepreneurship
  • Commerce
  • Other related disciplines

Candidates should demonstrate:

    • Local agroeconomic sectors

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant working experience
  • Experience in a similar role involving adult engagement is an added advantage
