Organizational Context
The position is based in the Tanzania Country Office in Dar es Salaam.
The successful candidate will:
- Report to the SO1 Activity Manager.
- Support Activity 1 and Activity 2 implementation.
- Work closely with:
- Budget & Programming Unit (BPU)
- Finance
- RAM (Research, Assessment and Monitoring)
- Supply Chain
- Sub-Offices and external partners
The role requires the ability to work with minimal supervision while supporting reporting, data management, and programme implementation.
Job Purpose
To provide administrative and programme support to Activity Managers by ensuring:
- Timely reporting
- Effective data management
- Accurate record keeping
- Efficient coordination of programme activities
- Support for evidence-based decision-making
Key Responsibilities
Programme Support
- Provide backstopping support to Activities 1 and 2.
- Follow up on agreed deadlines and action points.
- Support smooth implementation of programme activities.
Meeting & Event Coordination
- Organize meetings, workshops, and training sessions.
- Prepare meeting materials.
- Communicate with participants.
- Process participant payments where required.
Data Management & Reporting
- Assist with:
- Data collection
- Data entry
- Data analysis
- Report preparation
- Prepare summaries and programme reports.
- Ensure accuracy and consistency of information.
Administrative Support
- Schedule meetings.
- Prepare agendas.
- Record and distribute meeting minutes.
- Maintain electronic and physical filing systems.
- Provide general office support.
Coordination & Communication
- Work closely with:
- Supply Chain
- BPU
- Finance
- Sub-Offices
- Coordinate with:
- Government institutions
- NGOs
- Community partners
- Development agencies
Additional Duties
- Support other programme-related assignments as requested.
- Assist in operational and administrative activities.
Required Qualifications
Education
Candidates must be:
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s Degree program; or
- Recent graduates (within the last 6–12 months)
