Position: Quality Assurance Analyst
Job Summary
The Quality Assurance Analyst is responsible for executing comprehensive testing of applications to ensure all deliverables meet both functional and non-functional requirements.
The role ensures that solutions are thoroughly validated, fit for purpose, and ready for business use before User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and deployment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Test Design & Execution
Testing Activities
- Execute comprehensive testing of developed applications covering:
- Functional requirements
- Non-functional requirements
- Performance
- Reliability
- Basic security validation
- Develop and execute:
- Test cases
- Test scripts
- Test scenarios
- Participate in:
- System Integration Testing (SIT)
- UAT readiness activities
2. End-to-End Testing Support
- Support end-to-end integration testing across applications and systems.
- Verify seamless functionality between systems, interfaces, and dependencies.
- Validate that all deliverables are fit for purpose before handover to business users for UAT.
3. Performance & Load Testing
- Conduct and support performance and load testing activities.
- Validate:
- System scalability
- Reliability under normal and peak usage conditions
- Assist with stress testing activities when required.
- Support identification of potential performance bottlenecks before deployment.
4. Defect Management
- Identify, document, and track defects throughout the testing lifecycle.
- Retest fixes to confirm successful resolution.
- Ensure:
- Early defect detection
- Accurate defect documentation
- Proper issue tracking
- Collaborate closely with developers to achieve timely defect resolution.
5. Quality Assurance & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to established:
- QA standards
- Testing methodologies
- Best practices
- Maintain:
- Test artefacts
- Test evidence
- Documentation
- Audit trails
- Support compliance with organizational quality requirements.
6. Collaboration & Reporting
Work closely with:
- Developers
- Business Analysts
- Business Users
- Project Teams
Reporting Responsibilities
- Provide testing progress updates.
- Prepare testing reports and status updates.
- Communicate defects, risks, and testing outcomes.
- Contribute to improving test coverage and testing efficiency.
7. Continuous Improvement
Identify opportunities to improve:
- Testing processes
- Test coverage
- Defect detection rates
- Testing efficiency
Support initiatives related to:
- Test automation
- Process optimization
- Continuous quality improvement
Education & Experience Requirements
Academic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in:
- Information Technology (IT)
- Computer Science
- Related discipline
Professional Experience
- 2–5 years of experience in Quality Assurance (QA) and Software Testing.

- Experience working with banking systems or financial services applications.

Qualification Category
- Further Education and Training Certificate (FETC) – Physical, Mathematical, Computer and Life Sciences
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
- Experience in a similar testing or quality assurance environment
